This project was the brainchild of the dynamic head teacher, Miss Newbury.

She has been busy instigating a new outlook at the school that celebrates creativity and recognises that happy, creative children will often perform better in academic subjects too if their artistic and play sides are allowed to develop. General results are improving and there are lots of happy creative children at the school.

Miss Newbury hopes to create 1 flower with each outgoing year 2 group so that they all leave their mark on the school as they move on to the junior school. 2012 was special as there was also the diamond jubilee so 3 extra flowers were designed and created in red white and blue.

The children chose the flowers and drew the designs, one of which was chosen for each flower. All the children helped to make the flowers over 3 days of workshops and the artists installed them.
