‘People, Places & Nature’ was a Heritage Lottery funded project which focused on the creative influences of William Morris and his relevance today.

Lead by Amanda Parker, 12 Heritage Youth Ambassadors from Yr 6 (aged 11) and a group of 30 Senior Citizens, designed & created a film documentary (40 mins), an exhibition of design ideas and a decorative mosaic panel. The children did their own designs for the mosaic and they created the panel over a period of 1 week, using a combination of glass and ceramic tiles.

On completion, we held our launch event at William Morris Gallery before the entire  project was taken on a community tour in October 2013, where is was enjoyed by thousands of people. The mosaic is now installed at the entrance to Stoneydown Park Primary School, adjacent to a busy park, for all the community to see and it is a real credit to our young mosaic makers
